We have an immediate need for a PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER Mobile Solutions JOB DESCRIPTION 6+ Month Contract Assignment PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER Mobile Solutions Location: Houston, TX ***Relocation not provided for this role*** JOB SUMMARY Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Will champion significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity. We are seeking an individual that is interested in software development management in the long term and displays strong leadership skills. Duties will include development and maintenance of software products built in the following technologies: .NET, SQL, SQL CE, Windows Embedded, Windows client server, Windows UI (Win forms and WPF), Web reporting, Web services, and WCF. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel including offshore resources (Team Lead). Provides regular updates to supervisor on project/account status. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Goals often communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May supervise the activities of others. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Internally recognized specialist on complex technical and business matters. Individuals with a customer focus have developed the acumen to manage and cultivate positive customer relations. Qualifications Candidate will minimally have a Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent with a minimum 8 years of related experience. Required Skills: Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms Knowledge of Software Design Patterns and Implementations Extensive experience with C# Extensive experience with .NET (3.5 and above ) Extensive experience with Windows Development (WinForms & WPF) Experience developing Client-Server application with .NET (C#) Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures) Additional Skills Experience with device technologies such as Bluetooth and RFID Experience with Windows Mobile Development Experience with Android or IOS Development TAKE ACTION!
